Winter walk

I feel like I repeat myself; more winter pictures and more snow. But how could I pass it if we ended up going for a family walk! The weather for the beginning of winter vacation couldn't be better. It was warm, and sunny and just so fresh:)

Yarn Along

In addition to working on my prayer shawl and finishing a sweater, I have decided to crochet a basket.
My yarn and the yarn projects were so disorganized that I needed a solution. So far I reused better looking boxes and a self sewn tote bag.
Yesterday I came upon owl patterns on Pinterest; the basket one was very cute. I think it might work as a solution to the yarn problem but also to store some other things around the house. If I only make more of them :)

I am still reading Thomas Merton and "The seven storey mountain" plus few other self-help books about worrying and anxiety; gotta educate myself on few things here !

Winter revisited

The kids have an early extended weekend; by two days. Today was shoveling day. Andrzej is still working on the driveway at 9 pm, but I see some nice XC skiing trails in the near future :)

Yarn Along

I am still working on the prayer shawl. It will take a month or two to finish, but that's all right.
I am happy with the choice of books. I am reading " The Broken Way" by Ann Voskamp and " The Seven Storey Mountain" by Thomas Merton. Highly recommend them :)

Winter walk

The snow fell on Tuesday. With kids in school I was hoping for a little XC skiing in Pulaski park.
It did not happen; too little snow, too warm and too much sun.
Not that I complain about any of those.
I decided to take my camera and go for winter walk in Buttonwoods Park. I enjoyed every minute of it :)

Yarn Along

I am still working on my prayer shawl and thankfully it is getting longer.

I have quite forgotten that I have a sweater to finish. I believe I started it over a year ago.
I am working on the last sleeve and hopefully by the end of this month ( good that it has only begun ) I will have a final product!

Quite accidentally I have discovered Sue Monk Kidd"s books.
I am under a spell of the "Firstlight".
It made me to rethink a lot of things in my life. I have to work on my inner self.
Has anybody ever encountered the book that felt it was written just her/him?
That's how I feel...
